3 Clues Of A Online Money Making Scam

For the last 6 months, I have searched for ways to make money online. Throughout the search, I have found a large amount of programs that make huge claims.

Claims like:

" Check out how I made $2,000 in just 7 days!"
                                  or
" I've made $40,000 in sales in just 1 month after using this program!"

At first, I was naive and have subscribed to the email lists of a variety of  these "money-making specialists". Since then, I've received emails every other week about the next big product that will help me make money online (which happens to be from another company or "specialist").

Red light:

Dear: Money-Making Specialist

If your product was good to begin with, why are you constantly emailing me about the next big thing that will help me to start making money online?

Sincerely
Hard working person who is tired of being ripped off!!!

Don't get me wrong, most if not all legitimate make money online programs have email lists. But I have noticed that the money-making specialists of the legitimate programs mostly send me emails about information that actually pertains to their own product or products. They rarely send me emails about products from other companies, so when they do I know that they are really sincere about the accuracy of that company's' product.

The specialists of programs that are likely "scams" have sent me emails about other products that have the same promises again and again....

" You will finally be financially secured!"

" You will make money on autopilot!!"

                                 then there's the classic

" You will finally be able to quit your day-job!!!"

What I have realized is that all of the new products that were emailed to me by the famous money making specialist, use the same marketing approaches. I just thought that I will share it with my fellow hard working citizens because it makes me frustrated to know that people are constantly being deceived.

Here are some marketing approaches that are used by possible scam artists in the make money online community:

[Note: These (and most) make money online programs that I'm describing use a promotional video to get their customers. ]

1. The Secret Technique
When a new product comes out for the first time, the owner wants to make a great impression on the potential customer.  A lot of times the video will begin with a statement like this:

" Have you tried to make money online and failed? Well let me let you in on a little secret
that gurus and top entrepreneurs don't wont you to know."

The person giving this video presentation is often passionate, which makes this message sound very convincing. However the person proceeds by telling you that you can not tell ANYONE about what he's about to tell you. That is the first reds light.

If you are advertising a product on the INTERNET people WILL find out about it.

If he is really daring, he will tell you that the product was sent to you privately by the other product owner that you subscribed to. Well that same "private video" was probably sent to every other person who has subscribed to that email list.  It also important to point out that if anyone sincerely discovered a secret of making a huge amount of money online I'm pretty sure he/she would not be so willing to share it with the thousands of people. That's just more competition!!

2. Honest marketer vs. Scam Artist Approach
Most people who have tried to make money online remember the classic get rich quick schemes that were around mostly throughout the late 90s. This was the time period were the internet was just becoming accessible to everyone. Since so many people have fallen victim to these scams online, marketers had to change their marketing approach. Most (probably all) of them include statements similar to these in their video presentations:

" I know that you have been looking for a system that actually works but have found scams instead"

" Your tired of spending your hard-earned money on a program that doesn't live up to its promises"

" I know that you are frustrated because you have fallen victim to gurus who only care about your money"

Then he proceeds by explaining to you that he is different and that he actually concerned about his customers succeeding.  I'm not saying that just scam artist use this approach. In fact MANY of the legitimate programs that I have come across do this as well. But check out the differences:

Scam program: - Focuses more on this good-bad marketer technique then the product itself

                            - The advertising page contains only the video

                           - The person describes how great this program is (without any detail about it),
mean while at the VERY bottom of the page there is a SMALL message usually
saying that the product is new and there is no typical or guaranteed results.

Honest program:  - Gives an adequate amount of information about the product.

                              - The advertising page usually has more to offer then just a video

                               -  The marketer describes the product for what it is, without being over hyped.

3.  The Amount of Up-sells!!!
Usually toward the end of the video presentation, the marketer claims that his/her program is worth thousands of dollars but since he or she is supposedly is concern about your success the "discounted" price for you is usually around $49 or higher. So at this point the person who is watching this video is either convinced to buy the product or not.

Hint: Always exit the page on offers that you feel are a little sketchy

Once you exit the page on these type of offers here is what usually happens after you do that:

                1. Another page pops up sending a message similar to this:
" Wait I guarantee that this product will be great so buy it for only $20"

                 2. If you exit that page another page might pop up like this:
" Okay you win you could buy it for only $6"

                3. Exit that page you might get something like this:
" Put your name and email in the list the get free access to
get (something additional software that's related to the product)

Yeah many of marketers do this again and again. To be honest that makes them look very desperate to me.

In general there are a lot of programs on the internet that are sketchy. Those programs are likely to be scams if they follow any of these approaches.

Note: I'm NOT proposing that a marketer who uses those three approaches are automatically scam artists. Nor am I claiming that a marketing program that has those advertising techniques is automatically a scam.  I'm simply describing the marketing approaches used by the scam programs that I have come across.

I hope this post was helpful and if you know of a person who is interested in making money online please warn them about these marketing approaches.

PS. If you want to know about a program that is legitimate and one that I have actually made money off myself please visit my next post:money-making-system-without-hype.

Money Making System Without Hype

Hi if you made it to this page after reading my "3 clues of a online money making scam" post, then I'm assuming that your interested in the legitimate money-making program that I was referring to. If you have not read that post I strongly suggest and hope that you do.

After following this program I finally made money online for the first time:

This program is called Project Payday:

I'm going to be honest with you. I'm promoting this program, meaning that if you click on my link at the end of this page and sign up for Project Payday I will receive a small amount of cash.

I have found out that a lot of people who  promote this program misrepresent it with their over-hyped videos. They also don't mention that they are receiving money if you sign up for the program after clicking on their link(which they are suppose to do with video testimonials according to project payday rules). They just tell you to sign up for more information. A lot of those videos only show you their Project payday account and the money they have made from it.

I'm not going to describe what the system is in full detail because I will link you to a page that does that, however I will tell you what you can expect from this system:

Project Payday is an E book that teaches you methods that can help you earn extra money.

Project Payday teaches 4 main methods that will help you achieve that money.

Method 1: The fastest way to make money. You could possible get it in about 1-2 hours. Recommend for beginners.

Method 2:  It takes a little time for this method to work but its very scalable and you could make a good amount of money doing so.

Method 3: Similar to Method 2

Method 4:  Getting people to sign up for Project Payday(What I'm doing).

Note: Method 4 is not mandatory, and some people who promote the product only describe this method(which they're not suppose to do).

Okay I purposely did not describe the methods in detail because I would like for you to look into this product more yourself. This product is wonderful and it is NOT a get rich scheme. When you look throughout the program you will notice that it is emphasized that "You will not get rich with Project Payday".

Also I ask you to please only sign up for this program if you are SINCERELY interested in it. I do want to make money but I do not want to deceive the company or anyone else.
